BOSF PRESS STATEMENT

RE: AN OPEN LONG LETTER TO JAGABAN FROM FEMI FANI KAYODE

BOSF, and of course well meaning Nigerians have a clear understanding that Nigeria, as a country needs to stand firmly on the foundation of unity, togetherness, goodwill, love and sense of belonging for all her citizens.

Down the line from 2015, the country has graciously witnessed fundamental reforms and development brought to the forefront in every state of the federation by the federal government.

However, we also understand that the merits and proud development of Nigeria and the potential opportunities opened to her by this government, and being hailed both at home and abroad can never be a thing of joy to people like Femi Fani Kayode. This personality will rather have interest in futile attempts at discrediting evidently successful and laudable projects engaged in by this government to remove the country from the pits of underdevelopment. He and his cohorts plunged the nation into in the past administrations, of which he was a part. In a bid therefore to cover up his abysmal failures, he takes to the public space with utterances that can only be qualified as making nonsense.

It is sacrosanct to note the fact, that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu a national and global hero, and a huge asset to this great country is not a person to which Femi Fani kayode can cast his aspersions that are below acceptable levels of intelligent discourse. Femi Fani Kayode and others like him who have nothing substantial to be proud of as their contributions to national growth and development only seek relevance to the Nigerian public who have since rejected them by playing the unsolicited umpire card to seek for and attempt to gain a relevance that will never materialise even from within the self owned cells of indignation in which he is firmly placed.

The BOSF use this opportunity to caution and positively advise the former minister to be watchful of his uncouth utterances toward the celebrated rebuilders of the country and instead of his usual modus operandi of presenting useless assertions, to rather engage in constructive and positive criticism if he must speak at all. Whereever, he needs education and proper enlightment, – it is openly in this message going to be made available to him.

The business (both political and personal) of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo or anyone in the All Progressive Congress (APC) is not Femi Fani Kayode’s concern nor is it something of interest to him beyond the not forth coming positive and nation building discussions and positive criticism where it may be necessary. Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu did not need Fani Kayodes sympathy or counsel, as the case may be.

Femi Fani Kayode cannot successfully fool anyone that he cares for the country and her development, when himself and his principal together oversaw and coordinated the whole process that led the country to the state of dilapidation it was left in by 2015. He lacks every moral ground to comment on the affairs of anyone, the party, the country, and the APC.

We need no fortuneteller to prove that Femi Fani Kayode is frustrated or probably engaged in substance abuse with the language to the public and in his open letter to Asiwaju Tinubu. We need no astrologer to see his fears and actual concerns are as a person and not as a concerned Nigerian. He should have rather tagged his letter an “attack” because the whole wordings are nothing short of that.

It is very shameful of the former minister that he chooses to mutter embarrassing words and statements void of facts, that lack substance in public space. We understand he is living under the illusion of self glory and relevance, of which he has none.

Asiwaju Tinubu has devoted his most meaningful, young and adult life to the service of this country, as a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as two term governor of Lagos state and national leader of the APC and the country. His legacy is felt at all corners in our national life. He was the architect of modern Lagos, and one of the core pioneers of a Nigeria that is back on track to development. He has groomed leaders and successful people, in business world and the political atmosphere of the country. These inspiring antecedents cause a headache to Femi Fani Kayode and his apologists, who out of nothing else to do positively, resort to dishing out innuendos and subterfuge about the great Jagaban.

Asiwaju Tinubu Jagaban is an illustrious man, full of excellent and enviable qualities, an astute leader, a sagacious politician with class. He has claimed distinctions amidst his peers, he has proven himself different breed designers and exhibiting an enviable level of excellence. He has political credentials and reputations that put people like Fani Kayode in the insecurity zone.

The perpetual attack on his person proves the sort of influence he has and how envied he is. Asiwaju Tinubu is of course the most sought after Nigerian politician. His philanthropy nationwide is attested to. The conspiracies of Femi Fani Kayode and others like him are fueled by the feeling of political insecurity heightened by anxieties, and he must admit it. The very quick moves and incessant outcry to link everything going wrong to him is a substantial evidence of Asiwaju’s influence and accomplishments that they love to hate.

It is quite understandable that Femi Fani Kayode feels jealous of the inspiring and outstanding performance of the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo. We are not shocked to read the attack on the VP’s name too. However, he should have rather prayed to God to send personalities like Asiwaju and our Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to his party, to lead and direct them. The Vice President will continue to perform and convince the world that the office of Nigerian Vice President is exalted and one with many responsibilities to discharge, as he is rightly doing.

APC as a party has shown how great it is, as a party rooted with distinct principles, as a group and entity of people that prioritise her ideals, driven by her values and common interest in national growth and development. The party and her people have distinguished themselves from the aimless and purposeless PDP, which has proven Femi Fani Kayode wrong and put him into shame again, as usual.

Buhari Osinbajo Solidarity Front (BOSF) wishes to advise Femi Fani Kayode to concentrate on his corrupt woven party with no principle, he should rather face the affairs of his falling and disgraceful party (PDP). We do confidently assert that he has been thrown under the bus instead, and ask him to retire from writing fictions that leads nowhere productive.

Signed

Mr. Liberty Olawale Badmus

Convener, Buhari Osinbajo Solidarity Front
